RRE Summer Office Hours

Here are the days and hours our front office will be open this summer:
  • May 31 - June 10: Mon-Thur 8:30 - 11:00 AM & 1:30 - 4:00 PM; Fri 8:30 - 11:30 AM.
  • July 25th onward: Mon-Fri 8:30 -11:00 AM  & 1:30-4:00 PM

*A parent/guardian MUST sign into PowerSchool to register for SY 16/17

 
*You will need an access code to create a parent account for registration in PowerSchool. If you do not have one, it must be picked up in person by a legal guardian with a valid picture ID.
 
*Rio Rancho Elementary will be available to accept required registration documents and/or issue access codes on the following dates and times:  
  •  May 4th – May 20th       (Mon – Fri)       8:30 – 3:30
  • May 23rd – Jun 9th        (Mon – Thur)   8:30 – 3:30
  • Jul 20th & Jul 21st        (Wed & Thur)   9:00 – 11:30 & 1:30 – 3:30
  • Jul 26th – Jul 28th        (Tue – Wed)     9:00 – 11:30 & 1:30 – 3:30

Summer School
Summer School session is from June 6th to June 30th
Class hours are from 8:30am to 11:30amMonday-Thursday
  • Please drop off and pick up your child from the south side pickup, better known as the kinder drop off and pick up area. Student drop-off begins at 8:15 am with student pick-up promptly at 11:45 pm.
  • Breakfast will be served daily from 8:15-8:30. Please have your child arrive in time to eat breakfast and then begin class at 8:30. We will not be able to serve breakfast to students who arrive late.
  • A sack lunch will be served daily from 11:30 to 11:45.  
  • Nurses are not on duty for summer school.
  • Attendance is critical, and students may be disenrolled after their 3rd absence
  • Prompt student pick-up is appreciated as no supervision is provided after the duty day.  

Important Information for New Kindergarteners!
Welcome to Rio Rancho Elementary Kindergarten!  We are looking forward to an incredible year filled with fun and excitement!  We hope that you and your child are as excited as we are! 
Important Dates:
*Kindergarten baseline assessment will be August 1 & 2.
          August 1—8:30-11:30 Last names starting A-L
          August 1—1:00-4:00 Last names starting M-R    
          August 2—8:30-11:30 Last names starting S-Z and those who could not attend on August 1.
*Meet your teacher times will be scheduled for August 10 & 11 during Sneak Peek on August 5th.

The first day of school for elementary students will be August 15.

Supply fee—Kick off your shoes and leave the shopping to us. We strongly encourage you to sit back, relax, and let us buy in bulk when the deals are HOT! RRES teachers will be shopping for great deals during the summer months. All supplies and fees listed below will be included in a non-refundable $30.00 fee that teachers will collect during testing days before school. In addition, we ask that you purchase and supply your child with their own nap mat.  Please bring a red/blue vinyl mat with your supplies or money.  No sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, or mat covers will be allowed in the classroom.  These items can’t be easily cleaned, and it is important for the mats to be sanitized often.
RRMS Jumpstart for incoming 6th graders
August 6, 2016 from 9:00-11:00 AM
​Jumpstart is a great way for incoming 6th grade students to become comfortable with their new school. Complete the scavenger hunt and enter a drawing for an RRMS t-shirt!.  Find your classrooms, meet your teachers and receive your assigned locker!  Bring a new agenda, a pencil and your class schedule.  Click here for more information
